GEVME collaborated with Stampede Pictures to host NTUC’s First Campus’ NFC Leadership Townhall 2021. Stampede Pictures is a small boutique event agency that is run by a small and lean team of event professionals. They are well known for their artistic and creative abilities in creating transformative experiences.
About NFC Leadership Townhall 2021
Fueled by a fiery passion for empowering children with quality education, NTUC First Campus is helmed by individuals with the same level of zest and drive to bring the social enterprise to achieve greater milestones. The NFC Leadership Townhall 2021 is part of NTUC’s First Campus initiative. It was aimed at gathering over 350 participants through a single platform to help nurture and develop their leadership abilities.
As a thought and practice leader in the early childhood care and education field, NTUC First Campus Co-operative Limited (NFC) has been partnering working families to fulfil the promise of young children since 1977. The NFC Leadership Townhall 2021 was aimed at gathering over 350 Singapore based NTUC First Campus participants. This was a virtual event consisting of several live sessions, group plenaries and fun activities.
Requirements included creating a main stage where the main session would be live-streamed. Post this NTUC needed 30 break-out rooms to cater to 30 groups of 10-15 participants each. These 30 breakout rooms had to take place simultaneously and seamlessly. They also needed to be integrated with third party applications and vendors, for ex. Padlet for class notes, Virtual Booth by Cosmo, Aha for polling, Paperform for forms, and other links to other websites.
The Goals
The Gevme team together with Stampede Pictures worked on meeting the following goals:
- A complete virtual leadership town hall for 350 participants
- Smaller simultaneous virtual meetups for 30 groups of people
- Ability to integrate with third-party apps

GEVME Virtual
GEVME Virtual was used as the main live stage that hosted the live stream. This was viewed by over 350 participants who logged into the Gevme platform. They were able to chat with one another, view the photo gallery for images, as well as scroll down view buttons that led to quizzes and photo booths. Access control was activated so that post the main stage live stream, all participants could be led to their designated breakout room without any lag.
GEVME Meet
GEVME Meet was used by 30 groups simultaneously. Each group consisted of 10-15 participants, each having its own moderator. The Gevme Meet platform hosted fireside questions, a button leading to a scavenger hunt, a feedback form and more.
2D Design
The main page and breakout rooms were designed by Gevme and were created keeping in mind the brand guidelines of NTUC.
Integration and support
GEVME seamlessly integrated with third-party applications and links to provide for a unified experience. Buttons and QR codes were added on the main stage as well as individual breakout rooms. These breakout rooms were integrated with Padlet, Virtual Booth by Cosmo, Aha for polling, Paperform for forms, and other links to other websites.
GEVME Chat was utilised during the main stage event by all 350 participants as well as during each and every individual Room meet (GEVME Meet)
The Result
An engaging virtual townhall experience!
NTUC’s first virtual leadership town hall was a grand success. Stampede Pictures appreciated the fact that every time they hit a snag, Gevme support team came back with a solution within the shortest turnaround time, this was greatly appreciated. The general feedback from the participants was positive and many liked the engaging interface.
