Understanding the Scale
Young Trailblazers – Tertiary brought together some of Singapore’s most promising university entrepreneurs at *SCAPE on May 24, 2025. These weren’t just any participants – they were finalists who had already proved themselves, each bringing business ideas focused on sustainability and social good. The challenge was big: how do you make space for 150 bright minds to pitch, review, and connect meaningfully – all in one day?
Acorn Training Pte Ltd understood this challenge well. With over 20 years of experience building leadership in more than 200 institutions, they knew that young entrepreneurs with big ideas need more than just a stage – they need the right kind of support. The usual competition format – quick pitches followed by rushed judging – just wasn’t doing their ideas justice.
The stakes were high. Events like this help spot and grow the next generation of changemakers in Singapore. When done right, they spark careers and shift industries. When done poorly, great ideas get lost in the crowd.
The Strategic Partnership

The connection started with Jorlyn, who saw a natural fit between two teams focused on bringing out the best in people through smart, thoughtful innovation. Acorn Training’s work in shaping young leaders clicked with Gevme’s take on event tech – tools designed to support real, meaningful experiences, not complicate them.
This wasn’t your standard vendor shortlist. What drew Acorn to Gevme was a shared mindset: that tech should always serve people, not the other way around. The decision came down to values. Both sides believed that the best solutions are the ones that put people first.
The Implementation Strategy
Gevme deployed two key solutions: Snapsight, for smart content capture, and a self-check-in kiosk with personalized badge printing. The approach was intentionally focused – instead of flooding the event with tech, they picked tools that tackled the two big challenges: helping people connect and making content easier to grasp.
Personalized Participant Experience
The registration process created detailed participant profiles that went beyond just names and job titles. Each attendee – whether presenting entrepreneur, evaluating judge, mentoring professional, or supporting educator – got access to event materials and networking opportunities tailored to their role and interests.

The self-check-in kiosk turned what’s usually a routine task into a moment that felt personal. Attendees printed badges that highlighted their unique role in the event, making it easier to connect with others in a meaningful way. The setup was also sustainable – lanyards were reused, while participants kept their personalized badge inserts as a memento.

Intelligent Content Processing
Snapsight tackled a common problem at fast-paced events: information overload. As each student team pitched their sustainability-driven business idea, Snapsight captured and broke down the key points – from financials to innovation to market potential.

Judges got real-time summaries focused on what mattered most, without the noise. Students, meanwhile, could stay fully engaged with the presenters, knowing they’d get a full summary afterward for review and follow-up.
Even the participants were impressed by how accurate the AI-generated insights were. It was a clear example of how smart tech can support, not replace, human judgment and real connection.
Measurable Outcomes
The impact was clear across the board. Judges had deeper, more focused discussions, thanks to the structured insights that helped them spot standout ideas. Participants were more engaged during pitches, freed from the pressure of taking notes while trying to listen.
Networking felt more natural too. Personalized badges sparked conversations around real skills and interests, not just names and titles. Even the badge return process reflected the event’s sustainability goals, tying everything together in a way that felt thoughtful and consistent.
The Service Experience
Gevme deployed two key solutions: Snapsight, for smart content capture, and a self-check-in kiosk with personalized badge printing. The approach was intentionally focused – instead of flooding the event with tech, they picked tools that tackled the two big challenges: helping people connect and making content easier to grasp.
That kind of support is essential for teams juggling multiple programs while staying focused on their core mission. Having a partner who gets the day-to-day realities and adapts when needed can make all the difference between tech that helps and tech that gets in the way.
Strategic Implications
Young Trailblazers – Tertiary was more than just a well-run event – it showed how the right use of technology can lift Singapore’s innovation scene. The mix of entrepreneurship and sustainability wasn’t just timely; it reflected the kind of purposeful innovation Singapore needs to stay ahead while tackling global issues.

The AI integration was a standout example. It showed that smart technology doesn’t have to feel cold or distant – it can actually bring out more human moments. By handling the heavy lifting of information processing, it let presenters and judges focus on what mattered most: ideas, passion, and real conversations.
The Lasting Impact

The 150 young entrepreneurs who joined Young Trailblazers – Tertiary walked away with more than just competition results. They experienced firsthand how technology like Gevme can support ambition, how AI can amplify real voices, and how innovation can lead to stronger connections and deeper understanding.
For Singapore’s startup and education scene, the event set a new benchmark. It showed that competitions can use advanced tech without losing their human heart. The difference lies in working with partners who know that the best innovations are built to serve people, not the other way around.
Those young founders pitching their sustainability ventures saw something that day: technology not as a hurdle, but as a partner in their journey. That insight will shape how they think about innovation for years to come.

As a recognition of this meaningful collaboration, Gevme was honoured with an appreciation award from Acorn Training and Oaktree Enrichment – a nod to the shared belief that great tech should always enable, not overshadow, human potential.
