Young Scientist Activities "I am a Young Botanist"
Activity Date: 15-16 Oct (Tue-Wed)

Be a young botanist at the Science Centre Singapore (SCS)! This educational event aims to introduce children to the world of plants through interactive learning experiences. Participants will explore various plant characteristics and adaptations, using microscopes to examine pollen and spores. The programme includes hands-on activities, such as creating leafy bookmarks, to enhance understanding of plant biology and growth.
Upon completion, each child will receive a physical "I am a Young Botanist" badge and an e-certificate for becoming a young botanist. 


Young Scientist Trails:
Trail booklets are available for collection at Visitor Services Centre (VSC) for ticketholders. Separate charges apply.

Young Energy Saver Trail: Energy is all around us! Learn about how humanity has advanced through the discovery and application of
different energy sources. Learn about the importance of energy conservation as a consumer so that we can work towards a sustainable earth!
After completing the trail, you will earn an "I am a Young Energy Saver" badge and e-certificate!


Young Engineer Trail: Explore engineering innovations while saving the world through the "Young Engineer Trail" at the Future Makers Exhibition. 
You will learn how engineers from different disciplines and skills are always looking for new ways to solve problems and improve our lives. 
You will find the strategies within nature to solve human design challenges. 
After completing the trail, you will earn an "I am a Young Engineer" badge and e-certificate!

Young Ecologist Trail: How do animals adapt to their environment? How are living things connected in an ecosystem? Meet some of these animals up close and personal! Through this Young Ecologist trail, you will discover how fascinating nature can be.You get to earn an 'I Am Young Ecologist Badge' and e-certificate too! 

Young Geneticist Trail: Take a peek into the world of genetics as you take on the DNA corridor as a Young Geneticist. Find out more about the source that makes up who we are and how we look like, and you might just discover how much is packed into one tiny cell.
After completing the trail, you will earn an "I am a Young Geneticist" badge and e-certificate!
