About the Youth Panel for Sport
Youths recognise the benefits of staying active, but as life changes, it can become harder to make Sport and exercise a regular part of our lives. School, work, family and other commitments can all affect how and when young people participate in Sport.

As part of the SG Youth Plan, the Youth Panel for Sport brings together around 60 young people from diverse backgrounds to explore how youths envision the future of Sport so they can build a meaningful and lasting relationship with sport as they progress through different stages of life, from school and further education to work, caregiving and parenthood.

The Panel is jointly organised by the Sport Singapore (SportSG), National Youth Council (NYC), and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY).

What you will gain by being part of the Youth Panel for Sport

  • Opportunity to share your experience, perspectives on what youths want from Sport at different stages of life, and your aspirations for Sport.

  • Explore how Sport can help build confidence, support sporting aspirations, and strengthen social connectedness among youths from diverse backgrounds.

  • Hear different perspectives on Sport from fellow panel members.

  • Co-create practical and actionable proposals that can help young people discover activities they enjoy and participate meaningfully in Sport throughout their lives.

  • Contribute to the Panel's final report and recommendations on the future of Sport in Singapore.

Programme Structure
The Youth Panel for Sport will run for approximately six months, from January to June 2027, with activities organised across several phases.

Throughout the programme, panel members will share their views and aspirations for sport, delve into issues influencing youth participation, and jointly formulate actionable proposals to enhance sporting opportunities and experiences for young people and their vision of the future of Sport.

As each part of the programme builds on the previous one, members are strongly encouraged to participate consistently throughout the programme. Selected participants should attend at least 80% of the key programme dates. Specific session dates will be shared with selected participants once confirmed.
