IE Singapore will be organising a Roundtable on Oil and Gas Opportunities in West Africa on 15th September 2015 (Tuesday) from 0830-1330 hrs at IE Singapore’s office (Little Red Dot, Level 10).
This Roundtable will be a platform for Singapore companies to learn more about the opportunities in the Oil and Gas industry in the West Africa Region. Companies will also get insights on how to enter the market and capitalise on the opportunities present.
West Africa has emerged as one of the production hubs for the oil and gas industry globally. The region currently holds approximately 8% of the world’s oil and gas reserves. Almost 30% of global oil and gas discoveries made over the last five years were in Sub-Saharan Africa, reflecting a growing global appetite for African oil and gas resources. The attractive nature of the region has led to extensive development of offshore fields by the major oil companies such as Total, ENI, Shell, Exxon Mobil, Chevron etc.
This Roundtable will focus on 3 main West African regions – Anglophone (Nigeria, Ghana), Lusophone (Angola), and Francophone (Ivory Coast). We believe that this will be a useful event for companies interested to learn more about the intricacies of the respective oil and gas markets in West Africa and the various opportunities available.
