About the Event

With increase in aging population, physiotherapists will need to use technology to be close to clients without being physically there. Also, technology can be used to provide stimulating and interesting environment to engage elderly in physical and mental exercises. Virtual reality and mixed reality are such tools which are already being used, but there will be more applications available in the years to come. These technologies are not very expensive, at the same time, easy to use and understand. In this session, the speaker will introduce the technologies which are useful in elderly rehabilitation.


About the Speaker:
 
Sandeep Sailli is a Physiotherapist with Masters degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Brighton, England. Sandeep has worked in Tan Tock Seng Hospital for 10 years. He has been part-time lecturer (Physiotherapy) in Nanyang Polytechnic and University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Presently Sandeep is in the business of rehabilitation and is very interested in creating innovative products for elderly population.
