The Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City (Eco-City) is a flagship bilateral cooperation project between China and Singapore to create a model for sustainable city development that meets the needs of a rapidly urbanising China. Incorporating the best ideas from Singapore, China and the international community, it seeks to realise the shared vision of a city that is ecologically friendly, socially harmonious and environmentally sustainable – a compact, integrated work, live, play and learn environment.
Strategically located in one of the fastest growing and economically vibrant regions in China, the Tianjin Binhai New Area, the Eco-City is now home to more than 10,000 residents and over 1,000 companies, with an increasing number of amenities to cater to the needs of a growing resident and working population.
With strong support from both the Singapore and Chinese governments, the Eco-City provides an excellent platform for companies to explore and pursue business opportunities in China, especially in North China. The development of the Eco-City has created many business opportunities for companies in areas such as energy conservation & environment protection, culture & media, infocomm technology, green building, business process outsourcing, finance, retail, education and healthcare. At this seminar, we will share with participants the latest developments in the Eco-City and how companies can tap this platform to expand their business in North China.
