About the Event

Since independence in 1965, Singapore’s political environment has evolved significantly. Citizens’ expectations of our political leadership have also changed. As the youngest parliamentarian elected in the 2011 General Election and now serving her second term in Parliament, Ms Tin Pei Ling will share her personal journey in politics as well as her views on the type of political leaders needed to steward Singapore in the future.

Pei Ling is currently among the youngest elected Members of Parliament in Singapore representing MacPherson Single Member Constituency. She also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Communications and Information.
 
Since 2018, Pei Ling has helmed Business China, an organization that harnesses the support of public sector and private enterprises to strengthen ties between Singapore and China so as to sustain and growth the global connectivity of Singapore.
 
She is passionate about matters relating to youth, elderly, young families and mental health.
