Wed 27 Aug, 2pm
Venue: Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel
Level 2 - Veranda I
Event Description:
Africa is one of the world's fastest-growing regions, offering abundant opportunities for investment and business expansion. With ongoing economic reforms and improving governance, the continent presents an increasingly attractive environment for foreign businesses.
However, many Singapore-based companies may be unfamiliar with the diverse growth opportunities and challenges in African markets or lack knowledge about financing options to support their international expansion. Furthermore, these enterprises often lack connections with specialist financiers who provide funding for ventures in Africa and other emerging markets.
This focused networking session brings together specialist banks and Singapore enterprises planning African expansion, enabling companies to make well-informed decisions and secure appropriate financing for their growth plans.
Key Objectives:
- Foster meaningful dialogue between specialist banks and enterprises to explore opportunities and assess risks in Africa, particularly given the region's increasing financing demands
- Share industry best practices and key considerations for successful financing arrangements
- Create networking opportunities for enterprises to expand their banking relationships and explore potential collaborations
Note: This is an invite-only event. However, walk-ins may be accepted on a first come first serve basis if there is additional seating capacity.
If interested, kindly contact Aaron_TAN@enterprisesg.gov.sg

Event Description:
As Africa advances on its digital transformation journey, robust cybersecurity is emerging as a critical pillar for sustained success. By adopting strategic approaches to counter cyber threats and investing in infrastructure, education, and collaborative partnerships, African nations can not only safeguard their digital assets but also unlock new opportunities for innovation and economic growth.
It is estimated that the African cybersecurity market will reach about USD 3.7 billion this year. At the same time, it is also estimated that 90% of African businesses do not have proper cyber security protocols, making them vulnerable to cyberattacks such as hacking and phishing. Though African Governments are aware of the cyber threats, only a few countries have adopted National Cybersecurity Strategies (NCSs), which establish key institutions, define strategic priorities, assign roles and responsibilities, and outline frameworks for international cooperation on cybersecurity issues.
As part of the African Singapore Business Forum 2025, Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) and Ensign InfoSecurity are co-hosting this event to address and explore the opportunities and challenges in cybersecurity markets for the African continent.
