Posidonia is regarded as the global marketplace for ship repairers, ship builders and suppliers of ships’ equipment and shipping-related services. The Greek fleet currenltly accounts for approximately 50% of European shpping and 20% of the world fleet in terms of tonnage. The Greek-owned fleet is currently the most valuable in the world at US$90 billion. In 2016, some 1,825 exhibiting companies from 90 countries occupied 40,000 sqm of exhibition area. The exhibition was attended by 22,366 visitors from 95 countries.
