Aim of the Camp Get ready to build, code, and play! In this 3-day mBot Boot Camp, kids will create and program their own robots while exploring how they move, light up, follow lines, and make sounds.
Through fun games and challenges, they’ll develop problem-solving and logical thinking skills — all while discovering how coding connects to the real world. By the end, they'll race their robots and take on a cool virtual escape room mission!
mBot Boot Camp – 3-Day Syllabus Day 1 begins with fun ice-breakers as participants get to know each other and their instructor. They’ll be introduced to Makeblock and the exciting world of robotics. After learning basic robotics concepts, each child will assemble their own mBot. The day continues with a hands-on exploration of the coding environment, ending with a fun activity where they create a simple program to make their robot move.
Day 2 starts with a quick recap of the basics before diving deeper into robotics. Children will learn how engines and sensors work, then take part in an exciting mBot race! They’ll improve their code from Day 1 to make the race more interactive and fun. Later in the day, they’ll explore LED programming and discover how to light up their robots in creative ways.
Day 3 introduces colour mixing using LEDs and programming sound effects. With all the skills they’ve learned so far, participants will create a more advanced mini project. To wrap up the camp, they’ll discover how the line follower sensor works and use it to guide their robot along a path. There’s also time for extra practice with colour and sound as they design their own personalised robot program. The camp ends with a fun virtual escape room challenge, where kids put their new coding and robotics skills to the test!
