OVERVIEW
Prof Jochen Reb will share some recent findings regarding the effects of mindfulness, particularly at the workplace. He will then explore the role of mindfulness in leadership. He will argue that mindful leaders benefit not only themselves, but also their employees and organizations in a sustainable manner. The audience will be invited to try out a short, simple mindfulness-based practice that has the potential to improve their well-being and effectiveness.

Jochen Reb is Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University (SMU), where he also serves as the Director of the SMU Mindfulness Initiative. He conducts research and training on mindfulness with a particular interest in interpersonal effects of mindfulness and mindful leadership. He is also the editor of the forthcoming book “Mindfulness in Organizations” (with Cambridge University Press)
