About the Speakers
Vasu Menon
Executive Director, Investment Strategy at OCBC Bank’s Wealth Management unit
With more than 30 years in the investment and wealth management industries, Vasu started his career as an Economist and Investment Analyst and headed a large equities research team before joining OCBC Bank in 2000. At OCBC, Vasu is a key member of the bank’s Wealth Panel, comprising several experts that help to formulate views on the outlook for markets and asset classes. A frequent speaker at wealth seminars, he also shares his expertise on the economic and investment outlook regularly on the media such as Channel NewAsia, CNBC and Bloomberg TV.
Outside of OCBC, Vasu has played key roles in committees on the Singapore Exchange and the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) to promote investor education in Singapore. He has also supported MAS's MoneySENSE Financial Education Programme by being a regular speaker and panelist at its seminars aimed at providing financial education to Singaporeans to equip them with financial knowledge and capabilities.
In 2017 Vasu was conferred the designation IBF Fellow for Wealth Management – a title conferred upon industry specialists and veterans who have demonstrated mastery of a profession and exemplify thought leadership and commitment to industry development.
Thilan Wickramasinghe
Head of Equity Research at Maybank Kim Eng
Besides the Head of Research & Head of Regional Financials at Maybank Kim Eng Singapore, Thilan Wickramasinghe also contributes to the Group's strategy in integrating AI, big data & alternative data in delivering insights to internal & external stakeholders. He has nearly 20-years of experience working with HSBC, Credit Lyonnais (CLSA), Credit Suisse and Arthur Andersen, advising institutional investors in equity research, IPOs, secondary market funding and other capital markets transactions. Thilan's client portfolio includes some of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds, mutual funds, pension and hedge funds. With his experience and expertise, Thilan has won a number of industry awards including AsiaMoney, Starmine and Institutional Investor and has been featured regularly in the media including the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, CNBC and Bloomberg.
Thilan is also the Co-Founder of Create Lab: an educational institution aimed to equip schools, teachers and students with 21st century skills using data-driven and scalable learning experiences. Thilan also spends time as a startup mentor and an angel investor.

Leslie Chua is the Managing Director at LivinPassion Pte Ltd. LivinPassion started business in retailing furniture in 1997. Since 2000, they have transformed and diversified their business into a full service interior design consultancy, project management and lifestyle furniture design firm.
A former GIC staffer and was also the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director at Amos International Holdings, Leslie is currently an active investor principally in Equities (US, Singapore and Hong Kong Markets) and a Real Estate Investor.
He is also a member of NUSS and is currently a Committee Member of the Business Connect Interest Group.
