General Competition Rules & Regulations
• Participant must be a resident of PUNGGOL.
• All participants are allowed to submit ONE entry only.
• Registration will close on 24 October 2021.
• A Dropbox link for the video submission will be sent via SMS after the registration closes.
• All videos must be submitted between 27 October – 3 November 2021. Any late entries after this period will not be accepted.
• Prize winners will be announced on 13 November 2021, 11.00am – 12.00pm via Zoom. (Zoom link will be sent to participants at a later date)
• All videos submitted will be uploaded on Punggol Vista CC IAEC Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/punggolvistacciaec/
• Participants should do a self-introduction at the beginning of the video.
• Video must be of high quality with a duration of 2 to 3 mins.
• Video must be clear and audible with no or minimal background noise.
• Video with bad quality or exceeding 3 mins will be removed and rejected.
• Video must be in MP4, MPEG or MOV format.
• A fixed camera position should be used, with the participant fully in frame.
• A karaoke track can be used (if needed and relevant) to support your performance.
• Judges’ decision is final.
Competition Categories
1. Fancy Dress (Age 5 to 6)
• This category is open only to children aged 5 & 6.
• Record a video showcasing the participant in costume.
• Performance can be dialogues/ dance/ singing relevant to the costume that the participant is wearing.
• Judgement is based on criteria such as costume, clarity of performance, interesting content and overall presentation.
2. Dance (Primary 1 to Primary 3)
• This category is open only to Primary 1 to Primary 3 students.
• Only Indian songs will be accepted.
• Only classical or folk genre dance styles will be accepted.
• Judgement is based on criteria such as creativity, style, emotions and projection of the dance skills.
3. Dance (Primary 4 to Primary 6)
• This category is open only to Primary 4 to Primary 6 students.
• Only Indian songs will be accepted.
• Only classical or folk genre dance styles will be accepted.
• Judgement is based on criteria such as creativity, style, emotions and projection of the dance skills.
4. Singing (Secondary 1 to Secondary 2)
• This category is open only to Secondary 1 and Secondary 2 students.
• Only Indian songs will be accepted.
• Songs must not be religious.<br> • Songs must be from movies.
• Song should show a broad diversity of your vocal abilities.
• Only a direct recording of audio with video is accepted. No dubbing is allowed.
• Ensure the quality of audio in the recorded song video is clear and not amplified.
• Participant must sing LIVE in the video.
• Judgement is based on criteria such as diction, agam, thalam, selection of song, composition, and overall presentation.
5. Instrument (Secondary 2 to Secondary 4)
• This category is open only to Secondary 2 to Secondary 4 students.
• Only Indian songs will be accepted.
• Songs must not be religious.
• Songs must be from movies.
• Judgement is based on criteria such as clarity of the song selection and overall presentation.
