Malaysia's Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 6% will be implemented on 1 April 2015.

Businesses with annual sales turnover exceeding 500,000 ringgit have to register for GST compliance. Though most Singapore companies are familar with GST, Malaysia's GST tax regime has some unique features and exemptions, many of which were finalised only recently.
