iAdvisory Workshop: Managing your inter-company tax position in Malaysia
Find us also on
The advancements of global trade and the increasing use of tax efficient business restructuring by companies has led to tax authorities scrutinising company transactions (both on an inter and intra-firm basis) on a scale never seen before. Singapore and Hong Kong have become regional hub centres for all sectors of industry to establish headquarter operations from which to manage the region.
The links between Singapore and Malaysia are plenty. Singapore companies are increasingly expanding their operations into Malaysia, attracted by relatively lower cost labour and land factors. Companies have expanded operations into the Johor corridor and other parts of Malaysia, while retaining core functions in Singapore.
The establishment of subsidaries in and around the region, including Malaysia, is often underpinned by an element of tax efficiency which has led to transfer pricing (i.e the pricing of related party transactions) a key concept that finance, treasury and operations professionals have to pay an increasing attention to.
This workshop provides an overview of recent transfer pricing developments in Malaysia, and shares a practical approach for Malaysian taxpayers to manager their transfer pricing obligations in Malaysia.
Who should attend?
General Managers, Tax Directors and Managers, Finance Directors and Managers, Accountants, and anyone who have responsibilities on setting transfer prices or preparing documentation for transfer pricing purposes.
