Hi,

Quick question: when someone shares your event link on LinkedIn or WhatsApp, do you actually know what shows up?

For most organizers, the honest answer is "whatever the platform grabbed": a random image, a generic title, a description that has nothing to do with why the event matters. That's the first impression a prospective attendee gets, and most organizers never chose it. They just inherited it.

We just gave you the ability to change that.

Own Your Social Previews

You can now set a custom Open Graph title, image, and description for every event you host in Gevme. This is the metadata that controls how your event link looks the moment it's shared on LinkedIn, Facebook, X, WhatsApp, or anywhere else a link gets pasted.

An event link is often the first interaction a prospective attendee has with your event. Its title, description, and image influence whether someone stops, clicks, and learns more. Configurable social sharing settings put that moment back in your hands, so every shared link looks engaging, professional, and consistent with your event brand.

Here's what you can now control:

  • Open Graph Title: a clear, attention-grabbing title for shared event links
  • Open Graph Description: highlight the event's value and give people a reason to click
  • Open Graph Image: use campaign visuals that reinforce your event brand and message
  • Open Graph Image URL: specify exactly which image shows up across supported platforms

Leave a field blank and Gevme falls back to your event's default information, so there's zero risk in trying this on your next campaign.

What this means for your team: more visibility and appeal across every channel your event gets shared on, stronger first impressions for prospective attendees before they even reach your page, better click-through with previews that actually match your campaign, one consistent brand story across social posts and partner shares, and direct control for marketing over how event links are presented, with no surprises.
