"Embodied AI - Moving Beyond the Hype to Unlock its Full Potential"

Synopsis: With the advent of generative AI, a new frontier is opening up for robotics and intelligent systems to operate directly in the physical world. Embodied AI — where machines can perceive, act, and learn in real-time — is fast becoming one of the most transformative areas in AI today. From logistics and advanced manufacturing to construction, healthcare, and urban infrastructure, embodied AI holds significant promise to address real-world operational challenges — many of which are highly relevant to Singapore’s economy. Amidst Singapore’s structural labour constraints, productivity pressures, and ambitions to strengthen technological leadership, Embodied AI presents an opportunity to augment workforce capabilities, enhance safety, and unlock new operating models across key sectors. However, translating this potential into scalable deployment remains a complex journey — requiring not only technical advances, but also industry adoption, ecosystem collaboration, and forward-looking regulatory frameworks. This session will discuss the state of embodied AI today (globally and locally), and how Singapore can be positioned to be the place where these opportunities are seized and showcased. This panel brings together leading voices from startups, corporates, and government to:

  • Cut through the hype and assess the current state of embodied AI globally and in Singapore;

  • Explore real-world use cases gaining traction in logistics, construction, maritime, healthcare and beyond;

  • Examine key technical, operational, and policy challenges that must be addressed to enable adoption and;

  • Discuss how Singapore’s ecosystem — spanning research, startups, corporates, and government — can build capabilities to position itself as a meaningful node in this emerging global field
