Synopsis

Until quite recently, the only data in journalism was the data the publication carried. It was all quite proprietary, put together by journalists who were employed by the publication, and could be shared only within the boundaries demarcated by the publication. The Internet and the emergence of cloud computing has disrupted this model. Few of the tenets of the old journalism are relevant today. And with the rise of big data, the very concept of journalism is undergoing a change. Attend this interesting discussion to see how it impacts you.
