Whampoa CC Indian Activity Executive Committee (IAEC) is organising a singing competition for children (aged 5 to 12 years old) in conjunction with children's day for 3 age groups.
Eligibility:
1. Open to all children aged 5 to 12 years old of Jalan Besar GRC and Potong Pasir SMC only.
Terms and Conditions:
1. There are 3 categories for the competition. 1st category: 5-6 years old, 2nd category: 7-9 years old and 3rd category: 10-12 years old.
2. There registration fee for each category per person is $5.00. Non-refundable.
3. Last day of registration is Friday, 23 September 2022, 6pm.
4. All songs choice should be in Tamil language only.
5. The song should depict either Patriotism, Filial Piety, Pride in Tamil Language. Self-composed songs depicting the above is also welcomed.
6. All contestants shall present their song without music accompaniment.
7. All contestants to report at event site, Whampoa CC Multi-purpose hall (level 2), by 3:15pm for registration and draw lots for the sequence of performance during the actual day of event.
8. All contestants are to dress in proper attire or may get disqualified.
9. All contestants are to be punctual for registration on that day and the scheduled timeslots. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of participation rights in the competition.
10. All contestants are to remain contactable by the Organizing Committee throughout the competition period.
11. All contestants to be adhered to Safe Management Measures (SMM) at all times (E.g. Mask to be worn indoor at all time except during performing or drinking water).
12. Upon registration, all contestants agree and grant permission to the Organizing Committee on the usage of their photographs and/or videos taken as well as printing of their names for advertising, promotional and publicity purposes. They also consent to waive off any copyright or royalty fees.
13. By submitting personal information for registration, all contestants acknowledge that they have read through the competition terms and conditions and consent to allow the Organizing Committee to use all personal information for administrative purposes and data analysis. All personal data provided will be kept confidential.
14. The Judges' decisions on the results are Final. No correspondence or appeal shall be entertained.
15. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject any song deemed unsuitable for the competition.
16. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to change any of the terms and conditions without prior notice.
17. Top three winners may be invited to Whampoa IAEC events and functions for voluntary performances.

1. Prizes for each category: 1st: $100 voucher; 2nd: $75 voucher; 3rd: $50 voucher. All participants will also receive a Certificate of Participation each.
