Caring for Older People with Dementia Symposium 2017
In Singapore, one in 10 people aged 60 and above has dementia. This number is expected to double by 2030. It is a public health priority for health professionals to adopt an evidence-based approach that can effectively diagnose the condition for early and optimal medical management. As dementia is commonly misperceived as a normal part of ageing, it is crucial that caregivers recognise the early signs of dementia and are equipped with dementia-specific training to support people living with dementia and provide them with a quality of life. Join fellow health professionals in this one-day interprofessional symposium, to discuss and share recent evidence as well as experiences in caring for older people with dementia.
