"BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA 2015 was another great success; the trade fair saw 616 exhibitors from 42 countries displaying the latest technologies and innovations to the African market. There was an increase in visitors from sub-Saharan Africa and by establishing itself as the premier mining and construction trade fair in Africa in 2013, the September 2015 event saw a significant increase in high-calibre visitors.
14,300 visitors from 75 countries attended the second edition of the trade fair. 13 percent of the visitors came from outside of South Africa with a significant increase in percentage from sub-Saharan Africa. The top five visiting countries from Africa besides the host country were: Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique and Botswana. In addition, for the first time there were delegations from Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria and Zambia."
