Dear Distinguished Guests from ICT Communities in Asia and Oceania,
On behalf of Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO), I would like to extend the most sincere welcome to your attendance of 2016 ASOCIO ICT Summit at Yangon, Myanmar from November 13 to 17. This great event is hosted by our member Myanmar Computer Federation (MCF).
As the message revealed from the theme of the event “Accelerate Digital Transformation through Leveraging Opportunities in ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)”, the spotlight of Asian ICT market opportunities is now projected on AEC. It is beyond our estimation of the opportunities that will arise from the transformation and integration of an economic community of 600 million population.
ASOCIO has shouldered the responsibility to help our ICT industries in Asia and Oceania capture the opportunities of AEC. In 2015 we have formulated a dedicated Task Force, joined by many member associations, to work with ASEAN Secretariat and other relevant organizations. We shall update you the progress we have made in the coming event.
The venue of 2016 ASOCIO ICT Summit is located at Yangon, Myanmar. It carries a special meaning. As the Asia and Oceania are experiencing the stagnant economic growth now, you will be amazed how Myanmar leverages the leapfrogging advantages to grow their economy under the leadership of the new government and by aggressive ICT industries. You must come to Yangon to witness by yourself.
This is the first announcement of the event, as the time goes by you will receive more information of the event. Please reserve the schedule in your working calendar. We are looking forward to seeing you at Yangon from September 13 to 17.
