Fear of public speaking is incredibly common and nearly everyone can suffer from this type of phobia regardless of demographic or age. There is also reason to believe that modern day lifestyles make this fear more common than it had been in the past. It can rear it is ugly head anywhere and at anytime. The thought of speaking in public can leave us frozen with fear. It can also cause us to miss out on many academic, social, and career opportunities. Even though it is one of the most common fears shared amongst the general population, unfortunately these days few people have the tools necessary to overcome or manage their fear.
In this insightful talk, Joanne will take you on a journey through physiological reactions, personal experiences and case studies. She will encourage you to think harder about what you're missing out on because of your fear. She will also give you some practical and proven techniques and strategies to manage your fear so that you can begin to take on public speaking with confidence, enthusiasm and passion.
