Dr. Wosinski is no ordinary scholar to talk about the topic. Born at the end of World War 2, he lived through the turbulent Cold War era and witnessed violent conflicts among people of different ethnicities and ideologies. He has first-hand experience of what was life behind the Iron Curtain and is now devoting his time to promote peace, sustainability and youth education.
After working with youth in Africa and the more remote areas in Asia, Dr Wosinski decided - in collaboration with the Arizona State University (ASU) - to set up the Global Network for Sustainable Development (GNSD). The GNSD initiative reflects his strong commitment in educating youth to be effective community leaders and to play an active role in environmental and economic sustainability.
Dr. Wosinski will talk about his work in India, Nepal, and Africa. During this talk, he will also take the opportunity to introduce Mr Bibesh Manandhar, who is a youth leader from Nepal. Mr Manandhar will share the social problems and challenges he faces in protecting the environment in Nepal.
