McKinsey ad Company is organising the 4th Global Infrastructure Initiative Summit (“GII”) which is a high quality forum that takes place every 18 months. It is held in a different major city each time and has attracted an international, senior following of decision makers involved in infrastructure. This is the first time that the GII is taking place in Asia, and Singapore is the host city. The theme for the 4th GII is New Solutions for Global Infrastructure.
GII is a premium event that has extensive reach in the global infrastructure industry. The 4th GII is planned to enrich senior leaders and participants through high-value programs comprising: i) site visits showcasing Singapore’s infrastructure and best practices e.g. Changi Airport, Tuas Terminal, etc. and ii) discussion sessions aimed at co-creating solutions for identified challenges along the infrastructure value chain. A high level event summary is as follows:
24 May – Infrastructure site visits, plenary sessions (topics include new solutions for global infrastructure and capital projects, project planning, financing, etc.), welcome dinner and keynote discussion
25 May – Discussion sessions (topics include planning for smart cities, building talent pipeline, data and cybersecurity, improving construction productivity, operating efficient transport systems, etc.)
26 May – Sector-specific round tables
