OVERVIEW
The purpose of this seminar is to introduce a new paradigm and a new method to "SEE" business success IN ACTION. In previous seminars, the eight routes by which businesses achieved spectacular performance have been described in the abstract. In this seminar, we will move into the concrete by SEEING a filmed business case, and to collectively use the new paradigm to make sense of it. The implications of this new discovery to entrepreneurs and innovators will then be discussed.

Professor Simon Tam is co-founder and CEO of the Academy of Innovation, and adjunct associate professor at the University of Hong Kong Business School.

Simon was educated at the University of Hong Kong, University of Manchester and London School of Economics. His research focus over the past thirty eight years has been on entrepreneurship and innovation, including twenty years of full-time theory construction work and teaching at the University of Hong Kong Business School. Out of his research he has developed a new theory on entrepreneurship, from which to have evolved a training methodology for systematically developing entrepreneurs and innovators. He had been regarded as one of the best MBA professors. He had resigned from the University and put his theory to test since 2005, through conducting entrepreneurial experiments. He had by now founded five companies. The academy of innovation is his sixth company, an institute formed to diffuse a unique theory and training methodology to mass produce innovators in organizations in China and Hong Kong.

This free lecture is presented by the HEAD Foundation, a Singapore-based think-tank devoted to research and policy advice in the fields of higher education and societal development in Asia.

The HEAD Foundation welcomes all who are interested in its fields of enquiry and policy.
