2D1N GILGAL- A Spiritual Milestone for the Journey into Young Adulthood
GILGAL is a camp designed to empower transitioning 18-year-olds from the TNG youth space to step confidently into young adulthood. Gilgal was a place of significance for the people of God. In Joshua 4 to 6 after crossing the Jordan River, the next generation of Israel commemorated God's faithfulness, consecrated themselves to Him, and were commissioned for the mission ahead. This camp will be broken up into the three movements:
1. Commemorate. Remembering God's faithfulness and honoring those that discipled them.
2. Consecrate. Responding to God’s call to live set apart for Him in all arenas of life. We will be touching on 4 key arenas of life: 1. Perspective. 2. Purpose. 3. Purity. 4. People.
3. Commission. Reaching the world with the gospel as disciples who will disciple others. We will end the camp with a commissioning service that we do every year where parents, DMKs, TNG staff, are invited for a special commissioning of the 18 year olds.
