Bettina Kamuk, chemical engineer from the Danish Technical University is Global Market Director and Head of Department, Waste to Energy, at Ramboll – a global consulting engineering company.
Bettina is a highly experienced WtE project director and has been responsible for WtE projects Worldwide most recently in the Middle East, USA and in the region Bettina has been involved in WTE facilities in Thailand, Malaysia and has been deeply involved in the feasibility study and the preliminary design for the integrated waste management facility in Singapore planned for a yearly capacity of 2 mill tonnes of waste to energy recovery and more than 200,000 tonnes of bio-waste and recyclables for sorting.
In addition to the daily work Bettina is ISWA Board Member and Chair of the Scientific and Technical Committee, previous chair of ISWA’s Working Group on Energy Recovery and the Working Group on Hazardous Waste.

Dean joined Microsoft in 2017 as the regional Industry Solutions Director for Asia-Pacific after 6 and a half years at General Electric’s power generation unit where he was the Commercial Director, Asia-Pacific for Power Generation Services. Prior to that he was the Asia Regional Leader, Price Management at Schneider Electric. Dean has extensive experience in the power generation and oil and gas verticals in particular, working on some of the largest power projects in Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Computing from Monash University and a Master of Business specializing in Economics.

Dr Chindarat Taylor is the Founder and Director of Resource Efficiency Pathway, a consultancy that advises companies and municipalities on the development of waste and waste to energy infrastructure in the UK, Thailand and internationally, with special focus on the Asia Pacific region.
Chindarat is an experienced waste management professional whose primary focus is on the development of waste and waste to energy facilities. She has solid hands-on experience helping companies and municipalities to deliver waste to energy facilities. Her work focuses on strategic advice and implementation support with special attention on evaluating project viability and deliverability. This includes waste feedstock security, technology evaluation & selection, evaluation of EPC contractor capability, supply chain optimization and risk management.
She was previously a director at the UK Environment Agency, where she established the highly innovative and successful Pathway to Zero Waste Program. This program was instrumental in diverting waste from landfills and developing waste and waste to energy infrastructure.
She has over twenty years’ experience in waste to energy, petrochemicals and consulting. This includes management of three joint ventures for BP/Amoco with a combined asset value of over US$3.5 billion and various operations for ICI, including environment & waste management.
Chindarat is a Chartered Waste Manager (MCIWM) from the Chartered Institution of Waste Management, UK. She is currently Vice Chairman of the Solid Waste Association of Thailand (SWAT). She regularly joins industry panel discussions and speaks at international conferences.
Hayder is an engineer holding M.SC degree with 20 years’ experience in the international Transport and Trucking industry.
He is currently working as Mobility and Automation Director at Volvo Trucks in Gothenburg – Sweden. Prior to Hayder’s current position, he was Quality and Uptime Director at Volvo Trucks and member of Volvo Group Quality Committee. He started his career at Volvo Trucks for 20 years ago and was holding different positions within the company at product development and product management.
In Hayder’s current position, he is involved in putting strategies and prompting new technology within Automation and Electromobility at Volvo Trucks with the objective of making the transport sector more efficient.
Joe Keen POON has a proven track record in senior leadership roles across Asia & Europe. He has successfully led organizations, from start-ups, to turning around very large and mature businesses in Asia. Currently Joe guides Surbana Jurong, the world’s consultancy powerhouse for urbanisation and infrastructure developments, to fulfil its mission of building cities and shaping lives by delivering world leading smart city solutions. Earlier, he has led Xchanging’s, a top Business Process Outsourcing firm, P&L & commercial success in the East Asia & Japan market as President.
Prior to that, Joe spent 9 years at Microsoft. He was the winner of 3 top awards (Circle of Excellence, Champions Award, Worldwide IW Sales & Marketing Award). In his last role, he was in the executive team as the Segment Director, OEM Business in Singapore. In that role, Joe leads Microsoft’s success in not just the flagship Windows, Office & Server businesses, and also the growth of emerging mobile devices business. Prior to that, Joe led several businesses for Microsoft across Asia & Greater China. He also held consulting and business development roles in leading organizations like Deloitte Consulting in London and Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore. He was also the winner of the Public Service Commission scholarship from the Singapore Government in 1990.
Joe is married with 2 kids, Ian (12years old) and Ky-Shan (10 years old). A competitive kayaker in his younger days, Joe now stays fit by dedicating his free time to the gym and X country running.

Seng-Chee Lee is a Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (Singapore) and he leads the Power and Utilities advisory practice within the Capital Projects & Infrastructure (“CP&I”) team.
He has more than 20 years of experience in financial structuring , finance raising and M&A activities in both buy and sell side, government and private sector advisory roles, including expertise in Public Private Partnerships (“PPP”), Private Finance Initiatives (“PFI”) frameworks.
He has advised in the development of a number of milestone infrastructure projects and transactions in Singapore, Asia and Europe covering sectors including power, water/waste water treatment, solid waste management, transport infrastructure (toll roads, bridges, ports, mass rapid transport, airport etc). Seng-Chee has worked with many government agencies, major
projects finance institutions, infrastructure funds, strategic investors (eg developers) and multilaterals/ bilateral donor agencies on infrastructure development, investments and divestments.
In the solid waste management sector, Seng Chee has advised the governments of India and Indonesia on the waste sector management reforms and structuring. He’s also advised on a number ofWTE plants in Singapore including the 6th incineration PPP plant and the pilot Mechanical and Biological Treatment Plant.
In Singapore, he has supported many government agencies (including Public Utilities Board, Singapore Sports Council, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Trade & Industry, Singapore Cooperation Enterprise, IE Singapore) in many projects involving the promotion of Public Private Partnership to attract private sector expertise and investments into Singapore’s public
infrastructure. Seng Chee has also advised private sector consortiums in selected PPP projects tenders in Singapore including wastewater, desalination, transportation, and education infrastructure.
Seng Chee also contributes actively as a public speaker in discussions focussed on infrastructure development in Asia across many platforms including APEC, G20, multilateral development banks, bilateral government etc.
Seng Chee graduated from the London School of Economics (UK) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Saurabh leads the business development and alliances partnerships for IoT ecosystem for Tata Communications Singapore. As an active evangelist of IoT to improve the business efficiencies in verticals such as fleet & asset management, telematics, smart energy, etc, he likes to keep a 3600 view of cloud and security as well to have a holistic view.
Prior to Tata Communications, he was with Gemalto Singapore, and was instrumental in driving e-SIM and Subscription management technology with telcos and OEMs in the region. In 2016, he led the launch of first ever connected wearable watch in Singapore supporting the GSMA principles of e-SIM.
Saurabh holds MBA from Nanyang Business School, Singapore and Computer Engineering from University of Delhi, India.
Sean has been a Technology Consultant with RSA for more than two years, supporting the NetWitness business unit in the South-East Asia region. His experience in information security spans between the government agencies and educational institutions to provide security advice and consultations required to enhance their IT Security posture through process and technology improvements.
Prior to joining RSA’s South East Asia team, Sean spent a year in the RSA Headquarters in Bedford, Massachusetts, developing the threat intelligence and engine behind the RSA Security Analytics platform. He was also attached to the Dell-EMC Critical Incident Response Centre (CIRC) in Bedford as an analyst, performing incident handling and response on the ground. The Dell-EMC CIRC serves more than 70,000 employees and carries out extensive security operations to protect the company’s IT Infrastructure. After completing the Singapore EDB’s STRAT Programme, he was hand-picked to join RSA and was awarded the Most Valuable Player Award out of his cohort in the 2015 bootcamp.

Shamir Rahim is a technopreneur with a passion for internet and biomedical technologies. Founder & CEO of VersaFleetTM, he believes in automating the wor;d's logistics operations.
He left the lab early and started his career in the cardiovascular & cardiac surgery product teams at Sanofic and Medtronic. As business development manager for an incubator, he helped launch several biomedical start-ups. Shamir holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Supply Chain Management from National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Engineering. He earlier graduated from NUS as a University Scholar with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biomedical Science, and a Minor in Technopreneurship, which he attained while on the NUS Overseas College program at the University of Pennsylvania & The Wharton School. He pursued his Honours research on regenerative stem cell therapy at Institute of Molecure Cell Biology, an A*STAR research institute.

Wendell leads a team that provides direction, consultation and advice on environmental, health and safety matters to all levels of the Veolia organisation. He started his career as an Industrial Hygienist with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), and has developed himself in the EHS field through progressive management roles in several industries including oil and gas and pharmaceuticals.
Wendell has represented MOM and the Singapore Institute of Safety Officers (SISO) as a member of SPRING and MOM working groups developing Singapore Standards and guidelines in the areas of confined space entry and manual handling, as well as spoken on a number of topics at various health and safety seminars. He is also a member of the Registered Industrial Hygienists Board formed in 2014.
Wendell has 22 years of experience in the EHS field and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Safety, Health and Environment Technology.
As junior officer (2002 to 2006) at the R&D division, introduced the company participating in international symposiums relate to waste management such as APLAS, ISWA and Sardinia.
After then, from 2007 to 2014 I had worked for international cooperation at the overseas business division, newly established. Various public and private parties related to environment were our partners to work together making some changes for the better waste management practice. It is needed to work together with various public and private entities, conducting feasibility studies and master plan in Vietnam, Mozambique, South Africa and Peru.
Currently, I am responsible for international cooperation and symposium at Resource Recovery Technology Research Center of SLC. It is exciting to meet others to share experiences and knowledge to learn as well as understand a wide range of waste management practice so as to find optimal solution for ourselves.
