IE Singapore will be organising a Roundtable on Oil and Gas Opportunities in the GCC. This Roundtable will be a platform for Singapore companies to learn more about the opportunities in the Oil and Gas industry in the Gulf Region. Companies will also get insights on how to enter the market and capitalise on its potential opportunities.
The GCC is an oil-based region with the largest proven crude oil reserves in the world (486.8 billion barrels), representing 35.7% of the world’s total. This region ranks as the largest producer as well as exporter of petroleum and plays a leading role in the world in general and OPEC in particular. Between 2009 to end of 2014, about $264 billion worth of major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts have been awarded on oil, gas and petrochemicals projects in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Based on the pipeline of planned projects, the region’s oil and gas projects boom is set to continue in the coming years.
This Roundtable will focus on three countries in the GCC, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and The UAE. Companies will be able to learn more about the intricacies of the respective oil and gas markets and understand further how to do business with the National Oil Companies, Aramco, Qatar Petroleum and ADNOC.
