The Indian Government has announced that the country's first ever Goods & Services Tax (GST) is scheduled to be applicable from 1 July 2017.
The new GST will merge most indirect taxes into one system and will reduce cascading or double taxation. The simplification of the tax system will make business easier for Singapore SMEs in India.
