The India Budget is expected to be announced on 28 February 2013. Through this iAdvisory Clinic, get an overview of the main budget changes, as well as an update on recent tax developments directly impacting companies that intend or are doing business in India. This will be followed by a discussion on the key aspects of the Budget and the impact they have for Singapore-based companies with business interests or investments in India.

About the speaker
Mr Gagan Malik is a Partner with Ernst & Young India. His current role is based out of Singapore as a International Tax Director leading the firm's practice focussing on rendering Indian tax & regulatory advisory services to clients in the region, including cross border structuring.
Gagan has over 18 years of experience in the corporate tax, regulatory and policy area (including working closely with Indian Government from time to time on framing & evaluating foreign direct investment policy guidelines). He also has significant international experience and was responsible for establishing the India Tax & regulatory practice for Ernst & Young in San Jose, California; and thereafter he was based in Singapore responsible for establishing India Tax practice for another Indian professional services firm.
Gagan is a regular speaker on Indian tax system including cross border structuring & dispute resolution, in various international tax conferences including one’s organised by Tax Academy of Singapore, IBFD, CII & TEI. He led number of Tax Director Conferences in US and authored numerous articles on taxation & outsourcing to India for BNA & International Tax Journals such as CCH & IBFD on the teething tax issues in India.
Gagan specialises in international tax focused on complex cross border structuring and Indian tax advisory including planning and assistance on regulatory framework.
