Hey there,

Let’s be honest for a second: the last couple of years were all about playing around with AI.

We all typed fun prompts into chatbots, marveled at the output, and then went right back to our messy spreadsheets to do the actual work.

But if the energy at PCMA Convening Leaders 2026 in Philadelphia taught us anything, it’s that the industry is officially ready to move from "AI ideas" to practical application.

You don't want another generic tool - you want a dedicated assistant that actually understands the complexities of event management.

That’s exactly why we launched Spark 2.0 at Convening Leaders.

We realized that staring at a blank prompt box is intimidating, so we fundamentally changed how AI interacts with you based on your specific job.

Through our new Curated Pathways, Spark adapts its interface depending on whether you are a planner, a marketer, an association, or a DMO.

You now get access to a Task Library featuring over 150 specific tasks tailored entirely for event professionals.

Whether you need to build a three-day conference agenda, write compelling speaker bios, or instantly turn a session recording into a multi-channel marketing campaign, the workflow is already mapped out for you.

We love talking about these features, but seeing them in action is where the real magic happens.

On January 13, we hosted the Spark Hackathon live at Convening Leaders to see what event professionals could build under pressure.

We challenged teams to solve complex, real-world event challenges on the fly.

The results were incredible. For example, Patricia Guidetti from the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools used Spark to analyze complex attendee data from her last annual conference.

She cross-referenced that data with registration goals to instantly personalize education sessions for different audience segments. She noted that this level of data analytics would normally take her months to complete, but Spark handled it in about five minutes.

That is the exact difference between an AI novelty and an operational powerhouse.
