With its strategic location and 5,000 establishments involved in the maritime industry today, Singapore is the perfect locations for marine events. Organized by Reed Exhibitions, Asia Pacific Maritime (APM) is an iconic exhibition and conference that takes place on every even year in Singapore and focuses on the latest innovations in maritime and offshore.

The 15th edition of APM took place on 14–16 March 2018 at Marina Bay Sands. As an event tech partner of the event, Gevme took charge of registration and ticketing as well as email marketing and onsite check-in.

With 15,000 visitors and 1,500+ exhibitors joining the show, the focal point of organizing APM 2018 was facilitating efficient attendance experiences. From consistent messaging to custom registration and check-in, Gevme solutions helped automate a huge number of organizational processes.

Registration & Ticketing

Using Gevme Registration, the organizers managed to integrate the ticketing module with the event website. People could then purchase tickets by going through two separate registration gateways: one for the APM conference and the second for APM exhibition. Choosing the desired ticket type, making a payment, and receiving a ticket with the QR code could all be accomplished within a matter of a few minutes.

Email Marketing

It’s not easy creating personalized messages for 15,000 prospective visitors before an event. Gevme Email Marketing gave APM the tools it needed with the full customization of ready-to-use email templates, database segmentation, and email marketing analytics. This has definitely helped the team reach out to everyone at the right time.

While long queues is something that everyone imagines when it comes to an event with 15,000 guests, the Gevme onsite team did a great job dispelling the myth. With robust software and hardware technologies, we created custom setups for three registration formats: onsite registration, pre-registration, and self check-in, which a huge number of attendees used. Using their mobile phones or printed tickets, visitors could check in and get their name badges printed automatically without relying on staff.
