About the Event

In 2011, the NUS Mind Science Centre conducted the first study in Asia on dementia prevention under the Age Well Everyday (AWE) Programme. This is preventive medicine in the community by the community for the community. The AWE programme is based on epidemiological and randomized controlled studies with basic science research.

The focus is healthy lifestyle with exercise, diet and mindfulness practice. Art, music and gardening are other activities based on “Western scientific methodology and Eastern wisdom and philosophy”(British Journal of Psychiatry 2018).
