OVERVIEW

The fourth industrial revolution is the current and developing environment in which disruptive technologies and trends such as the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) are changing the way we live and work.
 
We are on the cusp of the age of disruption which poses many challenges for governments, companies, and individuals. Be it political uncertainty, technological innovation or new business models, disruption can come in many forms. Companies and business leaders must stay current and innovate to survive.  Are nations, companies, and people ready for this rapid change?
 
Mr Inderjit Singh is a co-President of the World Entrepreneurship Forum, Board member of the World Business Angel Forum. He is also a Board Member of Nanyang Technological University and chairs the Board of NTUitive, the innovation company of NTU. With extensive experience in the field of entrepreneurship, in his talk, Mr Inderjit Singh will discuss the different types of disruption businesses will face, and elaborate the strategies businesses can adopt to survive the disruptive environment ahead of us.

Inderjit Singh is a rare combination of experiences, managing a multi-national company, a serial entrepreneur, angel investor and a policymaker. An engineer by training and having worked at Texas Instruments for 13 years, he embarked on his entrepreneurship journey at the age of 37 by starting United Test and Assembly and Test, a large semiconductor company once valued at $2b when listed.
 
Inderjit has extensive experience in the field of entrepreneurship – through practicing it starting a few companies around the world, investing in start-ups, helping create a good ecosystem through policy changes, and in educating the next generation of entrepreneurs.
 
He is currently a co-President of the World Entrepreneurship Forum., Board member of the World Business Angel Forum (WBAF)  He is a Board Member of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and chairs the Board of NTUitive, the innovation company of NTU.
